THE STORY

BIG IDEAS

It began at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, where we saw how a company could create real value for artists. Impressed, we wanted to do the same.
Our first idea: printing art on swimwear. It’s visible, bold, and something everyone needs. But we quickly realized: big brands were already doing such collaborations, mostly with famous artists and little real impact. One more brand wouldn’t change the game. So we asked: What if we used blockchain to build a community of true art lovers and what if we offered our exclusive swimwear only to them? That’s Artus: a new kind of art community, powered by technology to create real scarcity, real visibility, and real impact. Not just fashion, but a self-sustaining system that empowers emerging artists.

THE IDEA

TECH-ENABLED EXCLUSIVITY

Exclusivity is the cornerstone of any luxury brand. That’s why we’ve put it at the core of Artus. Rather than limiting production or creating arbitrary waiting lists, we embrace blockchain technology to establish an NFT-based community of art enthusiasts and collectors. Our limited swimwear collections are sold exclusively to members of this community to ensure true exclusivity. Early adopters can now mint their NFT (digital membership card) to gain access to our swimwear and additional benefits. Once all membership spots are filled, new members will need to purchase an NFT from an existing member to access the limited collections. At this point, a membership value (NFT price) will be established. Assuming increasing value for community members (e.g., through partial art collection ownership), membership demand will outpace supply and thereby increase the (financial) exclusivity of our community. While this remains an exciting experiment that needs to prove its worth, it has the potential to bring exceptional attention to artists and financially reward early adopters disproportionately. It also paves new paths in luxury brand management and promotes blockchain mass adoption.
